A WATI alternative for a small business
WATI is built for teams: a shared inbox, template broadcasts, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, and AI agents as an add-on. It starts at $59 a month billed annually, plus message charges. Ariko suits a small business that needs a bot answering in Hebrew from its own information and booking into Google Calendar. For sales teams and broadcasts, WATI fits better.

What WATI does well
- A team inbox. Assigning conversations, tracking, tags and reports; on the higher plans also teams, auto-routing and per-operator reports.
- Broadcasts. Messages with approved WhatsApp templates — up to 15k a month on Growth, unlimited on Pro.
- Click-to-WhatsApp ads. Leads from ads, with source tags and click tracking on the higher plans.
- AI agents. Astra agents for web, WhatsApp and voice — according to WATI, an add-on priced separately.
- Several numbers. An extra WhatsApp number is $29 a month; the Business plan adds round-robin assignment.
| WATI plan | Per month, billed annually | Users |

When WATI is the right choice
- Several agents answer at once, and you need to split conversations between them and measure them.
- You send regular marketing broadcasts to a customer list — promotions, order updates, abandoned carts.
- You run Click-to-WhatsApp ads and want to measure which ad each lead came from.
- You work with Shopify, HubSpot or Salesforce and need a direct connection.
And when Ariko fits better
- You — or one or two others — answer alone, and enquiries arrive while you're mid-job.
- Most questions repeat, and you already know the answers: hours, services, prices, policies.
- You want the bot to book the appointment itself, not just remind about one booked elsewhere.
- You want pricing in shekels, and an interface and settings in Hebrew.

Frequently asked questions
How much does WATI cost?
According to WATI's pricing page on 14 October 2026: Growth $59, Pro $119 and Business $279 a month, billed annually. Messages are charged on top, and their AI agents (Astra) are a separately priced add-on.
Is there a cheaper WATI alternative for a small business?
It depends what you need. For a bot that answers and books: with Ariko you build and test at $0, No WhatsApp connection, and Solo with WhatsApp is $99 a month before VAT. For broadcasts and a large team inbox, WATI is built for that.
Does WATI book appointments in Google Calendar?
According to WATI's support center, there is a Calendly integration that adds WhatsApp notifications for meetings (on Pro and Business), and a Google Calendar connection through Pabbly Connect or Zapier for confirmations and reminders. With Ariko the bot books the appointment itself, in the conversation.
Can I send marketing broadcasts with Ariko?
No. Ariko answers people who wrote to you, and a day-before appointment reminder goes out through an approved template. For broadcasts to lists, WATI fits better.
Can I keep my existing number?
With Ariko, yes, if the number is on the WhatsApp Business app: you connect it by scanning a QR code, and the app on your phone keeps working.
