A WhatsApp bot for hair salons, beauticians and nail studios
A WhatsApp bot for a salon or beautician answers clients while your hands are busy: which treatments you offer, how long each takes, the cancellation policy — and books into Google Calendar by treatment length. Ariko answers only from your business's information; anything that needs a professional eye, like matching a colour from a photo, comes to you.

Why it hurts in this trade in particular
You can't stop in the middle of a haircut or a gel set to answer "anything tomorrow?". By the time you're free, the client has written to someone else too. And three things specific to the trade change what a bot needs to know:
Very different lengths
A quick cut and a full colour are not the same slot. Each treatment gets its own length, and the bot offers only a time long enough for it.
A price that depends
Hair length, nail condition, a fill or a new set. Write a "from" price and what changes it in your business's information — the bot won't make up a final price.
Photos of "exactly this"
Ariko understands images and voice messages. Whether it suits the client is your call, so a question like that comes to you.
What it looks like in a chat
An illustration: a made-up nail studio, not a real customer. The client sends three messages in a row, and the bot waits a few seconds and answers them together.
Booking into Google Calendar
Connect the business's Google Calendar and enter your list of treatments. The bot checks the calendar for when you are busy and offers only free times — so an appointment you added yourself won't be double-booked.
- Set up treatments. Name, length, and time before and after — for example to clean the station between clients.
- The client picks a time in the chat. It is written to the calendar with her name and the treatment.
- Cancel or move. The client writes, the bot finds her appointment, cancels or moves it — and the time is free again.
- A reminder the day before. Through a message template approved for the business's WhatsApp. No approved template, no reminder.
Want to see every booking before it's final — say, for a first colour? You can set every appointment to wait for your approval: the bot holds the slot, the approval request reaches you on WhatsApp at the business contact number (the request itself is in Hebrew), and the client gets a final confirmation only after you approve.
What the bot doesn't do
- It doesn't take deposits. There is no payment in the bot. If you work with deposits, write how to pay in your business's information, and the bot explains it.
- It doesn't promise a result. "Will it come out like the photo?" is a question for the professional, and the bot passes it on.
- It doesn't keep a separate calendar per stylist. The bot books into the one Google Calendar you connect. Several chairs with separate calendars? Talk to us first.
- It doesn't send marketing blasts. Ariko answers people who wrote to you. Promotions to your whole client list are a different tool.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a WhatsApp bot for a salon cost?
You build and test on the Free plan, $0 — No WhatsApp connection. For the bot to answer clients on WhatsApp you need a paid plan: Solo $99 a month with 1,000 messages and one WhatsApp number, then Business $149, Growth $199 and Scale $399. Excluding VAT; only messages the business sends are counted.
Can the bot book gel nails, haircuts and colour?
Yes. Each treatment has its own length, and the bot offers only times with enough free time in Google Calendar for the treatment chosen.
What if a client asks about a price that depends on hair length?
The bot answers only from what you wrote. Wrote a "from" price and what changes it? That's what it says. Didn't? It says someone from the team can answer and offers to pass it to you — it won't guess a price.
Does the bot understand photos and voice messages?
Yes, with no transcription step. Anything that needs a professional decision — like whether the design in a photo suits — it passes to a member of the team.
Can I reply myself in the middle of a bot conversation?
Yes. Click "Take over" and the bot stops in that conversation, even mid-reply, and you carry on from there. Hand it back when you're done.
Do I need a new number for the business?
No. On paid plans you connect your existing number, if it's on the WhatsApp Business app, and keep replying from the app on your phone as usual.
